From its earliest days, the company established its home in Corby, Northamptonshire, relocating there in 1991. Technifast quickly earned a reputation for supplying precision engineered fasteners and components to a wide range of industries. A Commitment to Service and Quality Central to Technifast’s ethos has always been the unwavering drive to provide an excellent level of service, quality, and value. John Speed articulated this guiding principle: “All along our principle has been to provide a level of customer service, making life as easy as possible for our customers to encourage them to come back to us the next time they have a need for our products.” This philosophy remains the heart of the company’s approach, fostering lasting relationships with customers and ensuring repeat business. Growth and Team Spirit As business flourished during the early 1990s, Technifast expanded its operations, building a dedicated team of sales staff and warehouse personnel to support its growing customer base. Long-standing clients will remember Carol Evans, a vital member of the Technifast family throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Today, Suzanne, Sharon, and David continue to be integral to the company, exemplifying Technifast’s commitment to its employees. With over 200 years of combined experience amongst the team, the company takes great pride in nurturing and valuing its staff. Investing in the Future Rising demand for custom-made, precision-turned components led John and his team to invest in advanced manufacturing capabilities. In 2005, Technifast relocated to larger premises to facilitate its evolution from a fastener supplier to a respected manufacturer of precision engineered components and CNC turned parts. This move marked a natural progression and signaled the company’s readiness to embrace new opportunities. Adapting and Advancing By 2020, Technifast’s established manufacturing division was working proactively with customers, producing bespoke fasteners for applications in industries as diverse as automotive and aviation. Despite the growing scope and complexity of its operations, Technifast never wavered from its commitment to delivering consistent quality and excellence in service. As a team, we have over 200 years experience in the fastener industry - so you're in safe hands when you trust us with your business. LOUIS, MANAGING DIRECTOR Managing Director Louis steers the helm of the Technifast team. He took over after the retirement of founder (and Louis’s father!) John Speed. Louis still likes to keep his hand and is at his happies when making components on the CNC machines with the production team. In any free time he gets, he enjoys traveling and is also an adept bass player. DAVID, ACCOUNTS David takes care of Technifast’s accounting and invoicing. When our resident number-cruncher isn’t calculating the balance sheet, he likes to play darts and football, although spends more time on the sidelines cheering on his son nowadays. He also celebrates (and commiserates) the ups-and-downs associated with being a life-long Sunderland Football Club supporter. SUZANNE, SALES & QUALITY Meet our longest-serving employee Suzanne, who manages our sales enquiries and maintains quality standards for our ISO:9001 status. The mum-of-two enjoys spending time with her family, going to concerts & the theatre in her very limited free time as she is also a committee member of the annual Corby Highland Gathering event. SHARON, PURCHASING Sharon manages our purchasing and inventory, securing the best prices for our customers. Sharon enjoys shopping, spending her own cash on her ever-expanding handbag collection, as well as spending her valued time her family! WAREHOUSE/GOODS IN David, Sam & David take care of checking the parts as well as packing your orders ready for despatch PRODUCTION Nick, Curtis, Andy & Austin look after our Escomatic, Citizen, XYZ machines and all other aspects of production, including Quality Checking parts we've manufacturered on our Keyence machine. They are also keen gardeners, taking care of the Technifast garden, growing their own veg.
